SHANNON MAY, MA, CCC-SLP
Meghan Murphy and Associates, LLC, is pleased to announce the addition of Shannon May, M.A., CCC-SLP to our team of experienced therapists.
Shannon has extensive experience providing therapy in a variety of clinical settings to both pediatric and adult clients. She is a motivated, dedicated and caring professional who enjoys working with children of all ages and their families to provide personalized therapy to help children and families achieve communication goals.
Shannon received her Master of Arts degree in Speech and Language Pathology from Northwestern University in 2001, and is a certified member of the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA). She is licensed within the State of Illinois.
Shannon has received additional training in the Beckman Oral Motor Program, the Sequential Oral Sensory (S.O.S) Approach to Feeding, NeuroNet Learning Readiness Program, the Lindamood Bell Visualize and Verbalize reading program, the Floortime model of therapy, and is a Certified provider of Vital Stimulation swallowing therapy. She has received extensive cross training from occupational therapists in sensory integration issues.
She lives in Chicago with her husband and three young sons, where she enjoys artistic endeavors of all sorts and exploring nature.
