Meghan has been a speech and language therapist for over 13 years and is the owner/therapist of Meghan Murphy and Associates, LLC. Meghan graduated from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, with a Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders in 2000 and then went on to earn her Masters in Arts in Communication Sciences from Northwestern University. Julie received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in Speech and Hearing Sciences. She then completed her graduate work at Northwestern University in 2009, receiving a Master’s in Speech Pathology and a Master’s in Learning Disabilities. Julie has been working full time for 4 years in an outpatient pediatric clinic, addressing the needs of children aged 16 months to 16 years. Read more...
ROBYN NICKELSON, MS, CCC-SLP
Robyn began her undergraduate career as an Elementary Education major at Illinois State University. It was here that she discovered her passion for working with children with special needs, specifically those with language impairments. As a result, she transferred to Southern Illinois University Carbondale to pursue a degree in speech-language pathology. Robyn received both Bachelors and Masters degrees in Communication Sciences and Disorders.
Robyn has extensive experience working at a self-contained school for children significantly impacted by autism spectrum disorders. She has additional experience working with clients with varying diagnoses across the lifespan, in both schools and hospitals. Her clinical interests include: social communication deficits, receptive and expressive language disorders, and traumatic brain injuries. Robyn has had formal training in the PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System) as well as Social Thinking among others.
Robyn grew up in the Northwestern suburbs of Chicago her entire life, and currently resides in Roscoe Village with her husband, Jeff and dog, Lola. In her free time, Robyn enjoys cooking, going to farmer’s markets, and exploring all that Chicago has to offer!
Christie received both her bachelors and masters in the field of Speech and Language Pathology from Saint Louis University. She has been practicing in an outpatient pediatric rehabilitation setting since graduating with her masters in 2005, as well as working with Meghan Murphy and Associates. Read more…
Sarah holds a degree in social work from the School of Social Work Administration at the University of Chicago. She has been working with children and families for 13 years specializing in understanding the impact of developmental differences on behavior. Sarah focuses much of her work helping children with sensory processing disorder, learning differences and ADHD to successfully function at home, school and with peers. Read more...
KRISTIN PLATT, MA, CCC-SLP
Kristin completed her undergraduate education at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and received her Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology from Northern Illinois University. She has extensive experience treating the pediatric population in a variety of settings, including Early Intervention, elementary schools, rehabilitation programs and private practice. Kristin has provided clinical supervision to many graduate students both in the field and in her previous position as a clinical faculty member in a speech-language pathology graduate program. Kristin holds her Early Intervention credential and has a passion for helping toddlers and families communicate more effectively. Kristin lives in Roscoe Village with her husband and young son. She enjoys cooking, traveling, and reading.
Rebecca Wright, MA, CCC-SLP
Rebecca completed her undergraduate degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Abilene Christian University and her Master of Arts in Speech Pathology from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. Since then, Rebecca has worked as a pediatric speech pathologist in the hospital, clinical and home settings. Rebecca has worked extensively with social language, apraxia, autism, receptive and expressive language, auditory processing, early intervention, and academic skills. Rebecca has formal training in Social Thinking and is certified in PROMPT and Hanen More Than Words. Rebecca lives in Lakeview with her husband, Lucas and their border collie, Ender. She enjoys cooking, reading and is training for a triathalon!
